David Hancock:
Coach Hancock is a bronze level USA Boxing Coach. He has an extensive athletic and coaching resume. David holds a bachelors degree in exercise science and a masters degree in Psychological Counseling with an emphasis in motivational psychology. Coach Hancock began boxing as a young boy and continues to do so at the masters level. He was an all state baseball player and track athlete in high school and went on to become an Associated Press Academic All -American Baseball player in College. He has competed in boxing tournaments throughout the country and Mexico. David has maintained himself as a multi-sport athlete throughout his life. As a professional, David spent 3 years working in professional baseball as a professional domestic scout and served in organizational outreach as a baseball instructor. He has worked in Texas public schools for 24 years as a Counselor and Behavior Specialist. Coach Hancock has developed district programs designed to reach students with various needs to help motivate and shape positive behavior. He has also served as counselor and program developer for Nueces County Mental Health and done pro-bono work with the USA Olympic Committee. Coach Hancock has a deep respect for the El Paso community and has a skill-set to work with kids or adults from various gender, religion or world view. His motivational approach can help anyone achieve their fitness or competition goals.
